To start things off, I'd like to take a minute to thank everyone that has helped and supported Ties by Lucy so far. It has been such a growing process. From learning to make a bow tie for the very first time, to selling the first Ties by Lucy bow tie on Etsy, to participating in our first craft festival, to making ties for an entire wedding party, it has been a phenomenal experience, and nothing could have been done without the support from you all!
As for now, we are continuing to add more and more ties to the two lines of ties. With the popularity of Ties by Lucy for "growing men," we are seeking additional fabric inspired by young boys and toddler boys. On top of the children's ties, we are adding to our "grown men" line with the addition of collegiate ties. So far we have Auburn University, Florida State, Georgia Tech, University of Alabama, and University of Georgia. Not only are we doing those ties, but we are adding fabric season by season to ensure customers can always find what they want. We're working hard to get the Ties by Lucy name out there, and Mayfest Arts and Crafts Festival in Carrollton, Georgia was a great way to start. With thousands of visitors, and not a single other bow tie booth, we quickly learned the ins and outs of the craft festival world. Although it was a lot of preparation work, I'd say we are prepared to enter into another in order to expand even further. Perhaps our most exciting accomplishment is our entry into the wedding business. We are now serving customers through creating custom bow ties for grooms and wedding parties alike. With our third wedding underway, we are so happy for all the new opportunities making wedding ties has brought us.
It's easy to get bogged down in the nitty gritty craftsmanship and bookkeeping, but we are constantly reminded of the many reasons we have to be thankful for all that Ties by Lucy has brought. Be on the lookout for even bigger and better, and we are always open to any feedback you may have. Thanks again and again!
